April 28, 2003

STAMFORD, CT - W&M Construction's fourth annual Charity Golf Classic raised $5,000 for the Fairfield County Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Thomas P. Durels (right), W&M Construction's president, presents the contribution check to Michael Angarola, the chapter's executive director, as Timothy W. Yahn, W&M Construction's senior vice president, looks on.

The Society's mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Since its founding in 1949, the Society has provided more than $240 million for research specifically targeting blood-related cancers. Beneficiaries of previous W&M Construction Charity Golf Classics were the ACE Mentor Program, which provides scholarships for high school students interested in architecture, construction and engineering, and Target Autism Genome. The presentation took place in the lobby of W&M Properties' Metro Center in Stamford.
